Tight on cash? DRIVE SLOWLY, or you'll pay for it. Whether you are for or against this law, it is important to be informed and make your own choices. If you get a ticket for going 10 miles (11th mile) OVER the speed limit, the cameras will flash at you, believe me they are BRIGHT and you will have flash backs for months. :). Then, the ticket will be sent to you in the mail asking you to pay a fine. Ranging from $165 to $181, PLUS process server's fees IF you don't respond to their letter and they need to serve you at your home. And they will, especially during this budget deficit crisis. IT DOES PAY TO DRIVE SAFELY!

DPS CRITERIAS FOR PLACING PHOTO CAMERAS ALONG THE FREEWAY, THEY ARE:

• Construction zones
• Freeway transition areas where two or more freeways merge
• Areas where a high number of injury/fatal collisions occur where the primary or secondary cause is related to speed
